Well this time Microsoft has fixed many issues in surface studio 2. It has a newer CPU options, faster storage, and most important, significantly beefier NVIDIA 10-series graphics. Microsoft has really updated this device. It has the same glossy, 28-inch screen, the shiny hinge still swings down effortlessly, and the silver aluminum of the cabinet and base is rock solid.
Coming to the USB-C ports, the Microsoft surface studio has four USB-A 3.0 ports, with an Ethernet jack, and a headphone jack. The USB-C port replaces the mini-DisplayPort this time around, which was an excellent decision, as was the plethora of USB-A ports.
Talking about the inside of this surface studio 2, it is equipped with a quad-core Core i7 processor, up to 32GB of RAM. Not only this, it has memory space up to a 2TB SSD, and either a Nvidia GTX1060 or GTX1070 mobile GPU. Intelligently, Microsoft dropped the Core i5 / 8GB RAM base model option. On the other hand, Microsoft is using a 7th Gen chip instead of the 8th Gen Core processors. Because that have been showing up in devices all year and have significant multicore performance bang over the older chips.
